Here we present four CDs of piano music performed by Maria Kihlgren. This set of four discs, released by Sterling, has cover pictures

by Maria's father, the artist Carl Speglitz.

1. Nordic Master Composers, 

The present album includes four major works by some of the Nordic countries top composers, Edvard Grieg, Jean Sibelius, Wilhelm Stenhammar and Carl Nielsen. Project manager Musikcentrum Ö, Sweden - "I have listened and enjoyed. Fantastic playing, vivid soundstage and an important repertoire".

2. Maria Kihlgren, piano, 

This recording came out in 1991 on a small label that no longer exists. It received excellent reviews in the Swedish press. It has recently been re-released to complement Maria's other recordings on Sterling. This version has improved sound quality, and the accompanying booklet contains an interview with Maria about her upbringing, education, concert activity and teaching work. In 2015 it was awarded 5 stars in "Muzyka 21" (Poland) and "Jahresbeste 2015" (keyboard category) in Germany's " nmz -neue musikzeitung".

3. Romantic Silhouettes,

This programme is a cross-section of Romantic music, covering around a hundred years. Well-known compositions by Robert Schumann and Franz Liszt are performed alongside works that are heard less frequently: Max Reger's Silhouetten (hence the disc's title) and two pieces by the Swiss composer Othmar Schoeck. The disc has been reviewed in many countries, and all the reviews have praised the pieces by Reger and Schoeck. This CD was recommended by the renowned Fanfare magazine in the USA.

4. Music from the Mediterranean,

This disc features music by composers from countries on the Mediterranean. Domenico Scarlatti from Italy, the impressionists Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel from France, Boris Papandopulo from Croatia, and finally Manuel de Falla and Isaac Albéniz from Spain. The disc was awarded 5 stars by J. Plesance, London: 'This playing is inspired, and the pieces so exciting. Technique and musicality combined! A real talent."

Greate classical Piano Experiences (New release 2021) In 2021 Sterling released the CD:s in a box. It has been greatly appreciated in the CD review at Swedish Radio in connection with the praise it has received in the Gramophone magazine.
